The DTX MINNOW 180 HEAVY DUTY is a revolution in trolling minnows, with an 18+ knots troll speed and capable of diving 10-12ft it in a class of its own. Featuring the Patented Autotune™ System, Metal Matrix Plate system, Diamond Armour internal strength system, Hydrospeed belly eyelet and the upgraded heavy-duty construction. Part of the Squall Runner High Speed Series, the DTX 180 is equally capable of incredible action at slow speeds down to even 2 knots as well as unheard-of high-speed performance. The unique body shape and the Patented Autotune™ self-tuning tow point system create a huge action and maximum side-to-side body wiggle at all speeds.
Designed and tested in Australia, Nomad Design lures are super tough and durable, feature unique colours and are designed to have highly effective shapes and actions. Every Nomad Design lure has been crafted by decades of experience on the water to be tougher, last longer and to catch more fish.
Autotune™ DTX
Patented Autotune™ Technology designed by founder Damon Olsen. Allows the lure to self centre, run at very high speeds and go super deep when trolling. Creates more swimming action and is why DTX's catch more fish than any other offshore hardbait.
Hydrospeed Eyelet
The Hydrospeed belly eyelet has been hydrodynamically tested and designed to allow maximum trolling speed and provide the optimum hookup ratio when using single hooks in large trolling lures. The concealed towpoint allows the lure to be trolled much faster than a conventional lure.
Diamond Armour
Proprietary internal design process used with clear ABS plastic bodies, designed to dramatically increase strength. The internal diamond mesh grid pattern creates an internal framework to strengthen the body of the lure, making it far less likely to be crushed or cracked by large predators.
Matrix Metal Plate System
The ultimate internal strength designed for big fish. Features a uniquely designed stainless steel plate in the body mold of the lure. The plate is fused into the lure with a series of small holes at critical locations in the plate, allowing the molded plastic to weave through the plate and create the ultimate in strength.
HD ABS System
Normal plastic was simply not strong enough for our lures, so we designed a special formula of High Density ABS plastic, which is a white color and is ultimately stronger than other plastics used for lure production. These lures also feature a thicker wall construction, meaning ultimate strength and durability.
Triple Shield Protection
We ensure that the painting process and the quality of the finish on all lures is protected and likely to last longer by applying 3 final coats of a super tough clear resin to the outside of all lures. It provides additional color depth and ensures that the finish on your lure will last longer.

Had some epic trips out with HD Shallow FLT 180'S, AWESOME when going across the reefs. Not got a favourite colour as the swim action on them I believe is the best out there at all speeds.

Consistently caught and out fished every other lure in the spread. Brand new and pristine on day 1 and almost completely without any paint by day 4. Barracuda and kingfish hammered this. Around a dozen grouper in the 25~40lb mark accounted for too.
Rigged on single strand wire about 8 inches long it couldn't fail even without any paint on the lure. Unfortunately it was lost due to a friend cutting the wrong line in a big tangle.
Back to Cuba next week to try for sailfish dorado and wahoo.
