Nomad Design was born on the Odyssey mothership in Australia’s Coral Sea, where an angler's search for the ultimate fishing experience drove our founder Damon Olsen to set up Nomad Sportfishing Adventures, one of the world's most extreme fly in fishing charter operations. Necessity was the mother of invention, with Damon required to create tackle able to withstand the Coral Sea’s intense fishing action. Odyssey is the name of the original mothership that allowed us to travel into literally uncharted reefs searching for the ultimate bite. It’s what made us Crafted by Experience.

The Nomad Odyssey is the story of our ongoing pursuit to create the ultimate fishing tackle, tried and tested in the toughest fishing conditions around the world. This is our story but it’s also your story. Odyssey is the search that pushes anglers everywhere to go fishing every day, whether it's in the most remote places on earth or a familiar local river. It's the story of dedicated anglers doing seemingly crazy things in pursuit of their next fishing adventure.
