FRESHWATER

WILD COUNTRY BASS

When Bass hold deep in structure or shaded banks, they’re selective and cautious. Finesse and realism are key and you need soft plastics that move naturally through cover.

Rig weedless and cast tight to timber, lilies or shaded edges. Use a slow roll or gentle hop with long pauses; most strikes come as the lure drops.

SPECTRE MINNOW – Slim baitfish profile that mimics shad and smelt.
Rig: Light jighead or weedless.
Retrieve: Twitch–pause along steep banks or timber edges. Perfect for fussy Bass.

SWITCHER SHRIMPRealistic shrimp imitation for crustacean-feeding Bass.
Rig: Weighted worm hook or weedless jighead.
Retrieve: Slow, subtle hops or small rolls to stay tight to cover.

RADIAX GRUB – A highly versatile plastic with a tight, natural tail kick at slow speeds. Deadly for pressured fish.
Rig: Weedless or light jighead for structure work.
Retrieve: Slow roll or bottom-hop with pauses.

DEPTH, CONTROL & THE TUNGSTEN ADVANTAGE

IMPOUNDMENT BASS

When big impoundment Bass school deep over flats or timber, keeping your lure in the zone is everything. The FALLOUT MINNOW leads the Live Ops range with its compact tungsten core and heavy tail pulse built to reach depth fast and hold it longer, even when fish are shut down.

When to Use: Ideal for bottom-hugging Bass or deep schools sitting tight to structure.
How to Fish: Let it sink to depth then slow-roll or hop along creek beds and timber lines. Adjust your tungsten weight to match current and fish depth.
The Edge: The Adjusta-Ball Tungsten System fine tunes fall rate and hover angle, keeping the Fallout perfectly balanced and swimming naturally where other lures can’t stay.

The COBRA JERKSHAD and DELTA SOFT-LIPPED JERKBAIT round out the range...Cobra for suspended fish that need a fast, tight action and Delta for a smooth, finesse glide when Bass turn wary. Together, they give you complete coverage from mid-water to the bottom.

THE BITE ANGLERS LIVE FOR

TOPWATER ACTIONS

When cicadas sing and the air hums with summer heat, Bass explode on the surface. Whether you’re casting under riverbank shadows or across open dam edges, early mornings, late afternoons and stormy pre-fronts are prime time. The key is patience: let the lure sit, then bring it to life with short pops, twitches and pauses. Strikes often hit on still water.

WHAT TO USE

CHUG NORRIS 50 & 72 - Compact surface poppers built for Aussie timber and lilies.
When - Early morning, late arvo, pre-storm conditions.
How - Short pops and pauses. Strikes often hit on the still water. Try “walk-the-chug” side-to-side action to mimic a fleeing cicada or baitfish.

MADSCAD 65 & 78 - Suspends perfectly on the pause for that irresistible hang time.
When - Midday or overcast when Bass slide just off the surface.
How - Twitch-pause retrieve tight to structure or slow roll through shaded edges for that classic “rip and kill” reaction strike.

MAVERICK 68 & 90AT - Subsurface glide bait for pressured fish that shy from noise.
When - Wind-blown points or when fish follow but won’t strike topwater.
How - Sweep and pause to make it glide side-to-side or use short twitches for a subtle walk-the-dog under the surface.

CRANK DEFLECT DIVE

HARDBODIES THAT HUNT

From shallow timber to deep dam edges, hardbodies help you find and fire up Bass in any water.

ATLAS CRANK - Compact shallow diver with a wide wobble and great buoyancy.
Best For: Grinding through timber, rocks, and banks where Bass ambush bait.
How: Slow to medium retrieve with pauses; let it float clear of snags.
Why It Works: The wobble and rise mimic a fleeing baitfish, triggering fast reaction strikes.

SWIMTREX

SWIMTREX FLUTTERFALL - Tight vibration on the lift, smooth flutter on the fall perfect for shutdown or bottom hugging Bass.
Best For: Deep flats, creek beds and suspended fish.
How: Long cast, count down, lift–pause–drop; most hits come on the fall.
Why It Works: The vibration grabs attention and the flutter stays in front of fish longer.

SWIMTREX MAX - Heavier, faster sinking and built for depth, current and wind.
Best For:
Deep or schooling Bass in dams and rivers.
How: Drop straight down, lift to pulse, then let it fall under tension.
Why It Works: Gets to depth fast and stays vertical ideal for deep strikes.

Pro Tip: Use Swimtrex for subtle falls; switch to Swimtrex Max when you need to reach them quicker or hold in current.
